Direct to consumer beef from Todd Family Meats means you skip everyone between the ranch and your front porch. You know where and how the beef you buy has been raised and processed.  The combination of our genetics, feeding program and our attention to detail we know you will taste the difference.

Our Cattle Story

We started our herd in 2007 and have spent the last 15 years perfecting the genetics of our cattle.  This is important when selling beef direct to consumer because we want to provide the best eating experience every time you order. Our cow herd is primarily composed of Red Angus cows and use Simmental bulls. We believe this cross gives us an outstanding female that will raise high quality calves.

We are always working to improve our herd and in turn improve the product we provide our customers. We are 1st generation ranchers and go above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of our livestock.

We use low stress handling practices, adhere to Beef Quality Assurance standards, work closely with our veterinarian. When the cattle are roaming the open pastures, they get free choice salt and mineral. We supply top notch hay in the winter months, when the snow is too deep to graze. We strive to take the best care of our cows and the land. Like the many generations before us, with careful management and maintenance we care for the soil, the grass and the water, with the ultimate goal of passing it along to the next generation better than we found it.

Our cattle spend most of their lives on pastures, before harvest we put cattle on a grain finishing diet. This makes the beef tender as it builds on the marbling and flavor profile of the meat.

Our direct to consumer beef is processed at a local, family owned butcher shop, Pioneer Meats. This is a Federally inspected facility that is humane handling certified and is known for their quality personalized service. Our beef is dry aged for at least 14 days. This process tenderizes the meat and makes it even more flavorful.
