Our Sheep Story

We have both been around sheep since we were kids. Sheep production has been in Gary’s family for several generations, and I (Heidi) was born and raised around my parents’ flock aka “mom’s sheep”.  We started our own sheep flock in 2009 after purchasing a handful of ewe lambs from Gary’s uncle. Since then, we have grown our herd from the offspring of that original group.

We primarily raise a dual-purpose breed called Targhee which are raised for both meat and quality wool production. Targhee sheep are a hardy breed making them a perfect fit for our harsh Montana winters. We love that this is a perfect animal for the kids to help out with too!

Our sheep are great for surrounding landscape and soil. They eat the forage that our cows will not – making them the perfect complement to our beef operation. They are also a bio-control agent and eat noxious weeds (or those harmful to the environment and other animals) in our pastures. Our sheep are great leafy spurge eaters!

Taste the difference.

You can’t find high quality lamb just anywhere.

Even if you could, a package from the store won’t tell you how it was raised or where it came from. We are proud to share our animal raising and breeding practices with our customers because that’s what makes us proud of our product.

Order lamb online and skip the meat counter all together! Get your lamb shipped directly to your doorstep from our ranch. It’s the shortest journey from ranch to table your meat will ever make!
